Chimney Park

These two towering smokestacks are all that is left of the sprawling Milwaukee Road (railroad) Shops complex that once occupied most of this part of the Menomonee River valley, and will be the centerpieces of "Chimney Park".  Much of the valley is undergoing a renaissance, with the rebuilding and extension of Canal Street, the Miller Park parking lots that were built just to the west of this photo, and the current redevelopment of the valley along Canal Street.  Mark W.
