My friend Jeff invited me down to Dixon, IL for the weekend of July 14-15. On the way down, I stopped in Rochelle to check out some of the industrial switchers as well as the mainline action. Jeff and Katie took me out on the Rock River on Sunday, where I got photos of some Union Pacific trains along the river. On the way home, I took "the road less traveled", making my way through Polo (where I still didn't get the shot I wanted) to Freeport (IL), Monroe (WI), Brodhead, and Janesville, getting a few more photos in each city.
