Garbage Truck Crash 7/5/05

GARBAGE TRUCK RUNS OFF ROAD, TAKES OUT UTILITY POLE -- Shortly after noon on Tuesday, I came upon this scene on Stuart Road just north of Washington Avenue/WIS-20.  Mount Pleasant police had blocked off Stuart Road, since this green garbage truck had run off the road and hit the utility pole, knocking live wires to the ground in the process!  The driver sustained only minor injuries, and was walking around at the scene.  Mark W.
