When I pulled up, a man in a safety vest was sitting on the other side of the road, who was thrilled to find out that he would see a train. I found out he was a volunteer for a motorcycle ride (Ride the Ribbon?) that was coming down this road. As it turned out, the HJ arrived at County S just as the cycles were on their way down the road! So the man waved them to slow down, and they got to watch the Wisconsin & Southern in action. The lead motorcycle waits for the train to pass, while the orange-vested volunteers look on. Mark W. Hintz photo, 09/25/04, Eagle WI
